We are very excited to announce that the International Photography Awards is currently accepting entries for our 2004 competition. The IPA invites professional and nonprofessional photographers to submit their best work before its respected panel of judges. Everyone with a camera and a passion to excel is eligible to compete for the coveted title of International Photographer of the Year and a $10,000 grand prize. All nonprofessional entries will also compete for the New Discovery Award and a $2,000 cash prize.
Certificates of excellence will be awarded in the following categories to both professionals and nonprofessionals:
Advertising Photographer of the Year
Architectural Photographer of the Year
Editorial Photographer of the Year
Photography Book of the Year (professional only)
Fine Art Photographer of the Year
Nature Photographer of the Year
People Photographer of the Year
Photographer of the Year in Special Category
During the 2003 IPA competition we received entries from 52 countries. Winners of the first annual IPA include Chris Frazer-Smith - UK and Robert Vizzini - USA, awarded the International Photographer of the Year Award and the New Discovery Award, respectively.

Chris Frazer-Smith of UK won the International Photographer of the Year and the $10,000 prize and Robert Vizzini - NY-USA was the New Discovery Award winner.

New Specifications for Fuji's FinePix S3 Pro camera
With the FinePix S3 Pro firmly established at the top of many wish lists, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. today announced that the camera of choice for many wedding, portrait and commercial photographers will be available October 2004 with a number of previously unannounced features, including improved and adjustable dynamic range, film simulation modes, color spaces, selectable RAW capture modes, faster start-up, D-TTL Flash Exposure Metering System, Dual Shutter Release Buttons, High-Speed Dual Image Interfaces, and a 10-Pin Nikon Electric Remote.
