About Photographer:

Entry description: On September 11, 2011, nearly a thousand Arizonans gathered to comemmorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Christians, Muslims, and Jews came together from around the city to walk side-by-side in a public gesture of unity and friendship, to remember those who died, and to stand together for peace.

The event, put on in partnership by two local churches and a mosque, took walkers through diverse neighborhoods and along a major highway, drawing the attention of neighbors, shopkeepers, drivers and local news, and making a corporate statement for peace.
