At least 200 shanties were gutted in a fire that broke out in a slum of Dhaka's Mohammadpur in Bangladesh at midnight. With the major support of the residents, a total of 15 units of fire fighting unit rushed in and brought the fire under control after almost four hours of their frantic efforts. A resident of the slum told that the fire started from a bamboo house and quickly spread to a large part of the slum. 21 Casualties took to the hospital and affected people took shelter on road.
