As I made my way back to my car after a morning of shooting how tourism affects Oregon’s major natural wonders something caught my eye. It was a trail of almonds scattered between the snack cart and the bushes. Like anyone else who’s ever been to a major tourist destination I assumed someone had just spilled their pre-hike snack. At that moment out emerges this chipmunk from underneath the food cart. Like a seen from a cartoon he made his way across the sidewalk attempting to pick up almonds from his previous heist. As I sat there watching him venture back and forth, I noticed he had somehow discovered a way inside the cart where he had free reign of the previous days leftover almonds. Determined to get as many trips as possible before the cart opened, not even the site of myself or my camera phased him.
