Set in an alternate universe where the 'char bor' ('girl' in Chinese Hokkien dialect) fashions her school outfits with snacks from the yesteryears, this photo series pays tribute to Singapore's National Day. Each of the characters also plays dramatised role of the kind of classmates Singaporeans had back in school; (#1)There's always this girl who has to call her mum during recess time to help fetch her swim goggles/suit. (#2)That teacher's pet who won't bat an eyelid confiscating the sweets smuggled into class. (#3)That classmate who binges on period drama and never studies for exams. (#4)That girl whose mother always remind her not to "score a zero egg" (Mandarin slang for failing badly) for exams.
