The Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is far more than beautiful architecture: they hold the key to “Keep Memory Alive” for future generations. The Lou Ruvo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, was designed by architect Frank Gehry at the behest of Larry Ruvo. Mr. Ruvo is the son of Lou Ruvo, namesake for the center. The elder Ruvo died from Alzheimer’s disease in 1994. The following year, Larry Ruvo held a dinner to both honor his father and celebrate his life, which turned into an annual fund raiser. Funds were used to build a clinic. They treated their first patient on July 13, 2009. Keep Memory Alive is now a renowned Alzheimer’s fund raising center. There is an event center, a café which serves brain-healthy meals, and a well-stocked library.
