We claim to love animals and yet we put them in captivity and make a spectacle of them for our delight. I took this picture of Pinky, the chimp and composed it so that the cage dominates the image. I used shallow depth of field because I wanted the focus on Pinky and the cage and didn’t bother about the background. Later, when I transferred the images to my computer, I was shocked to read the graffiti on the wall inside the cage. It read “We love Pinkyâ€. This image makes me think of the deeper perspective; the relationship between Humans and Nature and of Human nature itself.
