The exciting days of photographing rock concerts suddenly came to a halt around February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Japanese government was nicely asking citizens to stay home, I walked around my area for only an hour every night to calm my body and mind. Although my city was supposed to be a part of the Tokyo Olympics venues, it looked completely different. The empty, quiet city was so beautiful. I had a weird, calm feeling, and that healed my broken heart. How selfish and absurd I am. People are losing their lives and jobs. Embracing the contradiction between minds and actions, I had no choice but to continue taking pictures.
I would like to ask everyone directly what they think about this strange situation, but I haven't met anyone for a long time. Where is this world heading?
