The Androids Project is a series of portraits from the Italian army special forces. The work focuses on two main aspects. The first one is the relationship between the soldiers and their equipment, which becomes an extension of their bodies and an amplification of their senses. The second aspect of the project concerns the fact that the relationship between the man and his equipment seems to be overturned. The soldiers become a sort of “human-machines”. They look at the viewer from the inside of their armatures as if they were trapped in it.
