This woman carrying wash bins paused for just a moment in Port Au Prince, Haiti. She is standing in the crowd just outside the President's Palace.

Story

This photo was taken 5 weeks after the January earthquake in Port Au Prince, Haiti.
I was about to leave and I saw this woman walking. I shot several frames of her, but this photo stood out to me. Her pose was so dignified and strong, I felt it described the strength of the Haitian people after the disaster they had to endure.
She looks into the distance as if to see what the future holds for her. She, and others like her are the strength of Haiti.
