In Africa, the first challenge many people face in receiving health care, especially in rural areas, is simply reaching a functioning health facility: that is a difficult and often prohibitive journey. And when people reach health centers, too often these are not equipped to provide essential health services. That is exactly condition also in the Children’s ward of Kabale Hospital, Uganda. Here every day health workers, even if overworked, underpaid are deeply committed to save children's lives.
