11 Israelis are guarding the Jewish community in Munich, its centre as well as the big new synagogue in the city centre and two smaller synagogues across town. The young men come here because of the good money, they come to start a new experience and to leave something behind. Only rarely do they deal with the fact that they are Jews with family histories reaching back to this country. Yet, in the most unexpected moments, the language, the landscape, a certain sight or sound reminds them of this past.
