The objective of project is to pay attention of the public to the problems of the abandoned children. I put my basic accent on inner state of the abandoned child. This project was created with the kids of the orphanage №1 in Odessa Ukraine (children from birth till 5 years old), There are many also sick children in this orphanage who require attention and support. Each photograph is of a single child, an embodiment of his or her loneliness and isolation. The children are desperately in need of human tenderness and care. And the main thing the children dream of every day is to meet their mum and dad.

Story

The photographs are of young children living in orphanage N° 1 in Odessa, Ukraine. I put my basic accent on inner state of the abandoned child. Each child is very different with his own personal story, yet all are united by the fact that they have already experienced a huge amount at such a young age.
Many parents abuse their children, beating them, scoffing them, not feeding them and even eventually completely forgetting their existence.
The kids shown in the pictures are different, not having anything in common with our world. They are really different inside as they are very lonely. Certainly guests come to visit them, but after a while they depart, and the children remain. How can they achieve anything with their
lives without any form of support? The children are desperately in need of human tenderness and care. It is not their fault that nobody needs them, why should they be punished in this way? The orphanage also houses children who require medical assistance who live there up to the age of seven. Some of the 34 sick children suffer from HIV virus. The children’s situations are heart-breaking and one fears for their future.
In spite of all the above, the main thing the children dream of every day is to meet their mum and dad.
I try to bring this information using such concept as "social art”, drawing special attention of the public. I believe that "social" art is able to transform a society. And children demanding help will be heard l!!!
