Gigi Vegini was born in 1975 and lives in London, in the province of Bergamo. Approached photography in 1999, gaining different recognitions in contests now photo in national and international (last in 2010, 3rd prize at the 8th edition of the International Photo Awards in New York in Flowers-nature). He followed courses and workshops by Beppe Bolchi, Roberto Salbitani, Giovanni Umicini, Marco Rings and, in 2004, the meeting with the photographer Maurizio Galimberti changed his way of "watch the world". Uses 35 mm film for his reportage in black-and-white while creative research makes use of polaroid instant development. His images have been published in Italian magazines and catalogues (photography, PHOTO People.IT, photography, Bergamoup, Fotocult, Edav, Photography, Slr, Eco di Bergamo). Some of his images are part of private and public collections: Museum of photography of Montelupone Fotostiftung Schweiz, Winterthur (Switzerland) and the Musée de la Photographie in Bièvres (France). In 2009 he published his first book "POLAFIORI" Fotofabbrica Art Edition.
