My image was made whilst on holiday with my wife Emma. Previous to our afternoon at the gorge I had been reading a novel called Land's Edge which painted an honest, familiar Australian landscape brimming with texture & life. This compelled me to take a step back and embrace more of the environment in order to broaden the context of the image. As we were leaving with camera in hand I turned around to take one last look at this peaceful, harmonious & magical place. This is what I saw - at Mossman Gorge, Monday afternoon.
