This is a series of portraits of people I encountered at various different locations. Of People living on the edge. They represent different cultures but their disposition to life binds them into a similar story. To me they represent the degenerative aspect of economic growth. A beggar in Mumbai is no different in her desperation to the tout in the arid interior of a desert in Egypt. When I looked at them through the camera I found an unlikely beauty and grace in their faces. This is my tribute to them and countless other such people who belong to what I can only term as the faceless milieu.
