The debate on wind energy is of very present interest in many places all around the world. It is a captivating and highly important debate. Due to my background as an architect and urban planner I feel a strong affinity with the issue. My inquiry focuses especially on the architecture of the wind turbines, on the scale of its architecture and its implantation in the landscape. My series, of which these five photographs are a part, is the result of a profound study and multiple visits to all 148 accessible wind turbines in Flanders.
