Michael Limbert is a Chicago-based photographer with a focus on personal and immediate reaction. Born in Niles, Michigan (home of French Paper and Tommy James & The Shondells) Michael earned a BA in English with a Japanese concentration at Kalamazoo College, before stepping onto a visual creative path in advertising. In between moves to LA, NYC, Detroit & Chicago, Michael sharpened his photographic street focus and earned gallery showings throughout the US and Europe with additional publication in Monocle, VIEW Magazine, The Sun, and Paste. Michael has self-published 5 photobooks: "Wave”, “American Tour”, “state fair”, “rangefound” and “horror movies”. Currently, he's working towards a personal theme relating to atomic energy science while updating his photojournal "Rangefound" at rangefound.com.
