There is a novel written by Barbara Kingsolver entitled The Poisonwood Bible that particularly inspires my work. In the book, Orleanna Price states, “Everything you’re sure is right can be wrong in another place.” In my work, identity is a transformative and unifying concept that is refined as we discard egotistic notions, static classification systems and, above all, the struggle for power over others. Simply put, I am constantly looking for common links.
