|About the Artist:
I began exploring photography in 1982. Working exclusively in black and white, my earliest focus was portraiture and children. This led to the start of a portrait studio and to my ongoing commitment to children’s imagery. In recent years this interest has expanded to include the teaching of photographic literacy to children ages 10 – 18. This work has found favor in both the private and public sector of education, as well as special education.
As a photographic artist, my focus has also included landscape, cityscape and architecture.
“Billscapes,” and its recent offshoot, “Deconstruction,” reflect my interest in urban environment and commerce’s influence on our visual gestalt.
This work has received recognition through exhibition, juried competitions, as well as corporate and museum acquisition.
”Deconstruction” was last exhibited at OK Harris Works of Art, in January of 2009.
