This photograph was taken in a UNESCO world heritage site park in Moscow, after a long awaited Spring. On the day after it was taken, it rained in Moscow and the blossoms lost their colour as they shed tumultuously. I contact printed this photograph by hand onto cotton paper, with a 19th century photo printing method, using chemicals, brushes, and ultraviolet light. The model is Asian, reflecting the more developed social diversity of the 21st century.
