From the series Anima. I have always admired clowns – these characters that show up on the stage to entertain us afar from their experiences. I asked each portrayed person to show me his or her most hidden or recurring emotion – the one that makes us choose our daily mask. Based on that, I used the clown as a resource to both build the mask and destroy it in each portrait.
