This photographic series coincides with Christophe Canato’s early 2011 work in progress and has been finalised for the collective exhibition The Station Of The Cross achieved by Curator Catherine Czerw in Perth Western Australia. As an invited artist to represent the bible scene the Women of Jerusalem, Christophe Canato’s photographs represent senior female bodies with their stigmas of advanced age. Half way between purity and degeneration, life and ghostly feeling, Christophe Canato’s Women of Jerusalem invite us to itemize the human body in retrospect.
