Moorfields High Walk, Moorgate, London – February 2012. At dusk looking from the raised walkway down onto Fore Street, an ancient path that ran parallel to London Wall. The highwalk was an ambitious plan in the 1960s to separate pedestrians from traffic in the City of London. It centred on the Barbican (on the right) which was a design for living in the City. Today the highwalk is a largely barren area as the office blocks are slowly being torn down for redevelopment. People move stealthily in the streets below instead of the highwalk itself.
