Inside a little bombproof bunker in the middle of the working class neighborhood of Oldkatammon, a small group of young Palestinian people from East Jerusalem mingle with about fifty young Jewish people to follow the lessons of the former champion native from Uzbekistan, Mr Gershon Luxemburgo, who, between punches, states ‘there are no races here. Inside the Ring we are all boxers, we are all brothers’. The Jerusalem Boxing Club opened its doors in 1981. The techno music deafens the shouts of Gershon who, with his coffee mug in hand, explains the young champion how to improve his movements.
