Each of these images were shot during a 4100 kilometers transcontinental crossing of Antarctica over 82 days on skis and kites. They were all shot in storms high on the Antarctica plateau with winds of thirty to fifty miles per hour and temperatures ranging between minus 40F to minus 60F degrees. These ice features are called "sastrugi" and shaped by the continent's vicious storms.
