“Lying Well” is a project inspired on Foncuberta’s phrase: “A good photographer is he who lies the truth well”. Every portrait composed of several other portraits questions the significance of the photographic image, its illusory character and its ability to construct identities. Along with Baudrillard’s concept of simulacra and Gergen’s saturated self it explores the frivolous game of seeing and being seen.
