The goal was to take a standard portrait-style photograph and turn it upon itself to reveal intriguing and possibly fearful depths about a person. I worked with layering to create a texture that evokes both a parched desert and also veins which are the lifeblood of humanity. Finally, I applied the girl's own fingerprint over her skin as a layer and altered her eyes both in color and so that they gaze out in every direction and follow anyone that looks at her. This fingerprint acts as both a mask and a means of revealing her true identity.
