The aim of the project "Baltic" is to bring out the poetry of the Baltic Sea, inspired by the "sea nostalgia", that each of us acquired, in greater or lesser extent, in our lives, often drawing more from the great works of literature than from personal experience. This is also an attempt to awaken the atavistic need of perception of the sea as an element. This may justify photographing the shoreline as a place of revelation of many elements, including the water.

Photographing during the period of the tourist off-season makes it possible to capture numerous topics related to the maritime of the Baltic coast - its history, tradition, nature or the maritime infrastructure itself. This allows us to percieve the Baltic coast in a more real, literal way. At the end of the season, the inhabitants of the coast are no longer exclusively tourists orientated work wise and an attempt may be made to locate and describe the cultural identity of the coast or a part of it. An opportunity follows to show the Baltic coast in a natural context of this geographically diverse land, instead of a place associated only with the crowds of tourists.
