The Georgian-Abkhazian Conflict counts to the longest unresolved conflicts in the Caucasus region. After the collapse of the Soviet Union a number of ethnic tensions lead to war. During the Georgian-Abkhazian wars from 1992-93 and in 1998 around 200.000 people were displaced in eathnic cleansings. Some of them found new living places in student houses in the outerskirts of Tbilisi. As Georgia is nowadays mostly talking about the youngest war in Gori of 2008, the displaced of Abkhazia feel forgotten after 20 years.
