Pilgrims praying, pondering and resting at the feet of Saint Parascheva, the biggest religious pilgrimage in my country, Romania. Between 11th-15th of October each year, more than 70.000 believers from all over the country gather around the walls of the Grand Cathedral in Iasi, waiting in kilometers long line for days in order to touch and see the holy relics of Saint Parascheva who is believed to be one of Romania’s holiest protectors. The images represent only a glimpse of what some like to call : a romanian Mecca.

Also believed to be a miracle worker, the site gathers even larger crowds each year, with people hoping to be blessed by one of Romania's (and in particular Moldavia's) holiest protectors.
