The Soviet era seems now to be passed and people these days live in an absolutely new, redesigned world, but in some places it is not so far away. Living in close proximity either alienates people or it brings them closer together. The living conditions, gender, age, distance, relations, everything are mixed and loose, or they acquire a new meaning in the walls of the /Kommunalka/(Russian nickname for a communal apartment.). Designed in the Soviet Union for the purpose of forming a new collective vision of the future, this apartment type became the sign of stagnation for a whole generation. In modern Russia the Kommunalka is a synonym for poverty and social vulnerability. I wanted also to show the influence concerning the interaction between apartments with the mental state of the soul of the residents and try to transfer the atmosphere of the preservation of time.
