‘I am 5 years old. I live up in the mountain. Only once every two three weeks, my mother brings my brother and I to the river at the bottom of the mountain for bathing.’ This boy, whose hands are as dark as charcol, lives in one of the thousands villages on earth where tap water doesn’t exist. Access to clean water is one of the most primal human needs that many live without. Today 2.5 billion people, including almost one billion children, live without even basic sanitation. Every 21 seconds, a child dies from a water-related illness.
