This striking-looking and conspicuous building is tenanted by the local council's cleaning and parks & gardens services. The free-standing building contrasts strongly with its park-like surroundings owing to the monumental composition of several welded-together blocks that alternately project or rise up from the building mass. The resulting plasticity is further enhanced by the use of white-painted rubble brick. The few openings in the facade reveal fragments of work areas. As such the facade is like a stage set, accentuating the humdrum activities that take place behind it. Architect: Claus en Kaan
