There are thousand of Illegal mines or "holes", controlled by the criminals, where there are no safety measures. The life of the Donbass miners is dangerous and sad, but they have an amazing hobby, which distracts them from everyday worries and brings happiness - breeding doves. Every second miner has hundreds of doves in his home. They the white birds in their hands black with coal and throw them in the air, enjoying the beauty of the flight. This poetic desire for sky and flight of people who spent most of the time deep underground is the theme of this essay.
