These photographs are part of my series entitled, "The Lost Years." I’m both fascinated and bothered by the fact that I can’t remember much before the age of 5 years old. The exploration of new bodies, new places, new spaces. I’m there to capture these moments for these new beings so they can look at the lost moments and understand how they came to be the people they are now. It's sort of become my job to do this. I'm moved and compelled to do this work. I have spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours trying to understand myself and I know now that all I have to do to connect to my "real" self is look at photos of me at 2 and 3 and 4.
