2 years after the ouster of dictator H.Mubarak, Egypt still fights for democracy, the rule-of-law and politico-economic stability. In Cairo, the revolution is a whirlwind, propelled by tribal hatreds and disparate agendas, poor public education, and anger towards the corrupt system of political elites. No obvious, uniting leader or goal has emerged. Yet deeper movements are surfacing. Women's rights campaigns have launched countrywide. Groups rally for a separation of religious, legislative and judicial authorities. The inspiring uprising of January 2011 has entered the next chapter of conflict: Egypt faces the arduous road of self-discovery in search for firm, new foundations.
