These photographs are influenced by my experiences during sleep paralysis. A person who experiences sleep paralysis suffers between being awake and sleeping. Over time, I have analyzed my experiences, writing down details and figures that were main components to the dreams. Faceless figures. Obscure lighting. A cold embrace from a non-existent individual at the foot of the bed. These characteristics have been transformed from nerve-wracking night terrors, to inspiring subject matter that can be implemented into my artwork.
