This b&w photographic series shares my memories of favorite trees made during the many winter storms that clear through the San Francisco Bay area where I now live.    As the winter storm dissipates, the mist and fog fade beneath the inexorable path of the California sun, and what was familiar suddenly takes on new forms. Small worlds are simultaneously created and hidden with each passing moment as the light changes around these trees. These four images contrast the softness of fog during the passing of a clearing winter storm, and the stark crispness of the air just as the storm clears the area.
