As part of the human condition, we figure things out whether it is for resolution or moving forward. This series is a graphic depiction of the search to answer questions raised for physical, emotional or spiritual reasons.
Linda Sandow is a Fine Art Photographer focusing on metaphorical, abstract and infrared photography. She expressed her artistic talents early, becoming an accomplished musician, playing with several major opera and ballet companies. Moving on, she developed more analytically, becoming involved with software development for traders at 2 major financial institutions. She then turned to photography and studied at the International Center for Photography (ICP) in New York, The Maine Media Workshops and with John Paul Caponigro at Caponigro Arts. Her photography blends her artistic side with her technological precision. The results are photographs that capture moods and feelings, drawing the viewer into the scene, beyond what is literally there on first hand observation. Ms. Sandow currently lives in New York City where she photographs and exhibits in galleries throughout the Northeast. Her work has been collected internationally. Linda has been in 37 juried group exhibitions since 2006. She has also been published in 5 magazines; in 2013 was a finalist in the Fine Art category of the Pollux International Photography Competition, as well as getting an Honorable mention in the IPA competition. Linda has been a nominee in the B&W Spyder Awards, as well as taking 1st place, 2nd place and honorable mention in 2 NYC4PA International competitions with Black & White and Transportation themes, respectively. Her work can be viewed on her website: www.lindasandow.com. Linda has a bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School and an M.B.A. in Finance from N.Y.U. Stern School of Business.
