One of the biggest cattle ranching areas in Brazil takes place in the Pantanal, an enourmous floodplain in the middle of South America and one of the world's largest freshwater wetland ecosystem, where farm ranching have changed much over the past 2 centuries. The place is also a wilderness area of international significance that has been the center of many conservation iniciatives over the past decades.
