Three years into the country's worst post World War II financial crisis, Greeks have seen their living standards drop to levels unimaginable over the past decade of credit-fueled prosperity since Greece swapped its old drachma currency for the euro. Health, welfare and education spending has been slashed in exchange for the two international bailouts that are keeping Greece solvent. Amid 26 percent unemployment, armies of homeless sleep on the streets, while tens of thousands depend on charity for their daily meals.
