In the “Transfiguration” series I am investigating ways that this magnificent hallucinogenic flower form can be used to point to a new fierce beauty and bring the classical floral art piece into the 21st century. I am passionate about discovering new ways to represent one single flower, the common “angel’s trumpet”, in one single frame, one slice of time. Surgical and manual interventions - still or moving - were employed here, along with tonal adjustment, touch-up, and toning.
