Crash: Still Life-Cycle I features a large array of native flowers in varying stages of their life-cycles. The images are photographed on a Nikon D7000 with Zeiss 25mm lens, before being downloaded, corrupted in the file translation process and compiled without the artist's intervention. The digital capture, erasure and abstract reclamation of these flowers plays with the notions of digital re-interpretations and re-depiction of the natural order by technological means. The images are printed by the artist on an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 using archival inks and paper.
