Feng Huang, the Queen Phoenix Feng Huang (Phoenix) is in fact TWO birds in Chinese mythology. Feng is the male bird and Huang is the female bird. The male is the yang and represents the solar cycle and summer, while the female is the yin, the lunar cycle, and a symbol of the Chinese empresses. Feng Huang reminds me of today’s androgynous models, they are the magic combination of Yin and Yang. The androgynous model Van Burnham is wearing the red dress of 2013 Devonation Collection, as the Queen Phoenix.
