In January of 2009 Woolworths closed it’s 815 UK stores. Shortly afterwards I began to photograph the closed buildings and recorded over 170 throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland before the rest were sold to other companies. Over time I selected 99 of the images (the stores were open in the UK for 99 years), meticulously cut them out and displayed them in a grid, a process that I completed in the spring of 2013. I have included four examples of the images as well as the final grid (ideally displayed as a 6ft x 4ft print).
