This is a portrait shot at the end of a three day catalog shoot for Carrol and Company of Beverly Hills. We had done all the formal images and I had a 5 minute window before wrap to play around a little. This image has minimal retouching with the removal of a single hair that was catching the light.
Star Foreman is a Los Angeles based fine art and editorial photographer. Her distinct imagery is similar to a graphic novel in its hyperreal approach to its subjects and environments. Influenced supremely by Los Angeles, the loneliest city, Star's images are celluloid Hollywood dreams. Growing up Star attended the theater with her grandfather T.E. Foreman, a local theater critic. In those dark rooms, Star fell in love with the stage, and while a career in singing has never materialized (she loves Sondheim the best,), she did eventually find her voice. A practicing Imaginarium her images are innovative, cinematic, professional, unexpected, and above all beautiful. She holds a BA in photography from the Art Center College of Design.
