The Sacrifice Feast is one of the oldest religious custom celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his young first-born son Ismail as an act of submission to God’s command, before God then intervened to provide Ibrahim with a lamb to sacrifice instead. In Turkey before Sacrifice Feast, major animal bazaars are set up near the city centers. Salespeople comes from rural sites of the city with their livestock and waits for the sell of them. A butcher or family member would perform the sacrifice in this areas or in their gardens.

It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his young first-born son Ismail as an act of submission to God’s command, before God then intervened to provide Ibrahim with a lamb to sacrifice instead. Before Sacrifice Feast, major animal bazaars are set up near the city centers. Salespeople comes from rural sites of the city with their livestock and waits for the sell of them. Many people across the country are shopping for sacrificial beasts to give thanks, in turn then sharing their bounty with neighbors and people in need. A butcher or family member (usually the head of the family) would perform the sacrifice in this areas or in their gardens.
