One Hundred began after photographing her 101-year-old grandmother, Cecile. She was her support and a healthy part of her upbringing. Since that first portrait of her grandmother and a few others she realized the impact and significance of this project for herself, the Centenarians and the people around them. The continuity of the series comes across in the dignity that she attempts to capture in each portrait. She has photographed 85 Centenarians. Her goal is to reach one hundred. Her search has taken her to 25 plus states and recently to the Yucatan to photograph Mayans. She plans on finishing the project by the end of 2014 when she has one hundred portraits and their stories.
