CITYSCAPES This series, A New York Point of View, creates vibrant images that capture the energy and excitement of New York City’s architecture and its everyday life. The images use light and its reflections to explore place, scale and perspective in images whose features often morph onto the picture plane to encompass the photograph. Most of these images incorporate characteristics of the Photorealism art movement of the 60s and 70s. For example, each of these scenes is packed with floods of sharp detail and the ‘reflected’ street scenes often challenge the ‘real’ ones in vying for the interest of the viewer.
